The Senate has passed the 2018 Appropriation Bill after the joint National Assembly Committee on Appropriation had considered the over N9.1 trillion 2018 budget.
The consideration followed the presentation of a report by Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations, Danjuma Goje in plenary.
In his report, Senator Goje stated that the Appropriation Bill by President Muhammadu Buhari last November contained over N8.6 trillion.
According to him, the increase in the oil benchmark enabled the National Assembly to intervene in critical sectors of the economy with N508 billion.
He said the critical area include security, health, power, works ND housing, education, judiciary and NDDC.
