Former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and a two-term senator of the Federal Republic, Olorunnimbe Mamora has rejected President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointment as the Chairman of the Abuja Investment and Infrastructure Centre.
Our correspondent learnt that the senator met with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mustapha Boss to reject the appointment.
Investigation showed that Mamora rejected the appointment after his name was removed from two previous list as the Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Ports Authority in 2016 and Ambassador.
“Mamora was edged out by some powerful people in the system,” the source said.
The source added that Mamora was also nominated as an ambassador in late 2016 but his name was suddenly withdrawn for unknown reasons and was not even contacted before his name was dropped.
