The Secretary-General of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Usman Ngelzerma has said the anti-open grazing law in Benue State Government, aimed at regulating cow grazing in the state, must be modified for peace to reign in the state.

He said the anti-open grazing law in Benue State Government had become a system of extortion by the state guards, which the herdsmen would always resist.

He said this in an exclusive interview with our correspondent, adding that the hostility and extortion by the state guards led to the killing of January 1 in Benue state.
