The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, yesterday in Abuja, declared his intention to contest for 2019 Presidential election.
The Governor said, despite the stance of PDP, Peoples Democratic Party, God has destined him to lead Nigeria.
The Governor who is also the Chairman of Governor’s Forum in the People’s Democratic Party said, he will fight corruption if elected.
He also charged his party men from the northern part of the Nigeria where the presidency for 2019 has been zoned, to come forward to declare their intention.
He revealed that zoning is only a gentleman’s agreement in Nigeria’s politics and the constitution guarantees every Nigerian the democratic right to contest.
He said he doesn’t have all the answers to all Nigeria’s questions but he has the required knowledge, understanding, competence and above all, the political will to coordinate human and material resources to achieve national greatness.
