Four of the six students of the Igbonla Model College, Epe who were kidnapped have resumed for the new academic session.
The boys were in custody for 63days and set free on July 30, they were taken by gunmen and from the school premises.
The four who have resumed are: Agbaosi Judah, Jonah Peter, Yusuf Faruq and Isiaka Rahmon while the other two students by name: Philips Pelumi and George Adebanjo are expected to resume next week.
According to Vanguard, in an interview with one of the free students, Judah Agbaosi said, “I feel great resuming with my mates. I believe that nothing bad can happen to us again. I have decided to come back to my school.
“I decided not to go to another school because I like my school, I have nothing to fear. The style of teaching is fantastic. They often give us advantage to ask questions whenever we don’t understand anything. The facilities have improved, especially in the area of security.
“For those that have not resumed, I believe they do not have any reason to be scared because those that encountered the trauma with them have returned to school, why should they not return,”.
Security measures have been put in place and greatly improved to ensure that a repeat of the sad experience does not occur.
Armed policemen have also been deployed to the school premises and an alarm system has been installed which the students have been educated on how to use in the event of an emergency.
