The President of Niger Republic, Mahamadou Issoufou, hosted the Sokoto State Governer, Aminu Tambuwal to discuss issues concerning the cooperation of their citizens.
The two leaders both discussed issues bothering their citizens like academics, business, economy and diplomacy between both states, during Tambuwal visit on Monday, in Niamey.
According to Tambuwal's spokesman, Malam Imam Imam,"The essence of the Governor's visit to the Presidential Palace is to strengthen cultural religious and family coexistence between the two states and also look into other areas of opportunities. More so, Sokoto and Niger Republic have long standing cultural, religious and family ties."
The need for further cooperation was also emphasized on when Tambuwal meet with senior public officials, investors and Sokoto state indigenes resident in Niger Republic.
Other government officers that were on the Governor's entourage are: the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Bashir Garba; Chief of Staff, Government House, Mukhtar Magori; and the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development, Mannir Dan'Iya.
