Senator Ben Murray Bruce, representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District has said that this administration is a failure if it will not abate the current hate songs circulating in some parts of Northern Nigeria.
Speaking on one of his “common sense” advocacy series, the lawmaker said the most important job of any government is the protection of lives and properties of its citizens.
He charged the federal government not to sit and watch merchants of hate, carry on with their barbaric campaign.
He said, “So far, beyond the usual verbal condemnation in the northern Nigeria, nothing else has been done.”
He reminded Nigerians that the Rwandan genocide was ignited by an “Anti Huntu” hate song titled “Nanga Abahutu”
He said further that there is a similarity between the “Anti Huntu” hate song of Rwanda and the one in the Northern Nigeria.
He revealed that no single country in Africa can cope with our population if Nigeria is allowed to descend into chaos, after the exit of the elites.
He concluded with a patriotic “common sense” call, for everyone in government, regardless of the party, and all Nigerians to tackle this ugly situation before it gets out of hand.
