Following the dissolution of PDP state executives in seven state, factional Chairman of Ogun State, Adebayo Dayo and the Lagos counterpart Segun Adewale reacted by kicking against the decision by National Caretaker Committee.
In a separate press release, the Ogun State factional leader said it is scandalised at the reason for which Ogun state executive was dissolved since other states approved also emerged through same process.
For Lagos State, it’s factional chairman, Segun Adewale describes the action as injustice to his group.
He however expressed satisfaction that the rival faction in the state, Moshood salvador was not conferred legitimacy.
The National Vice Chairman (Southwest) of the Peoples Democratic Party, Makanjuola Ogundipe, has maintained he remains the authentic leader of the party in the region.
He said the recent Supreme Court judgment, which handed over control of the party to the Ahmed Makarifi-led National Caretaker Committee, does not invalidate his status in the PDP.
Ogundipe also denied speculations he has joined the Mega Party of Nigeria (MPN), declaring he cannot destroy a house he built.
