Former Nigerian leaders, Olusegun Obasanjo and Yakubu Gowon have stressed the need for Nigeria to remain united.
This follows the call for restructuring of the country which seems to be growing louder.
The two elder states men spoke at a book launch in Abuja on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olisa Agbakoba said that the ongoing agitation for restructuring is a conspiracy of the political elites.
He said restructuring cannot be achieved until nigerians agree on whether to stay together or not.
His position is a sharp contrast to that of those who are championing an immediate restructuring as a way out of the current crisis.
