Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola has been summoned by the House of Representatives for disparaging some of his members over the 2017 budget.
Fashola had described two members of the National Assembly who were trying to clarify issues emanated from the budget as having “stark and worrisome knowledge” of the budget process.
Fashola had alleged that the National Assembly inserted some bore hole and Primary Health Centres projects in the budget.
Lawmakers are angry over Fashola’s comments on the 2017 budget, which they say are meant to incite Nigerians against the legislature.
The House said the minister was part of the discussions that produced the budget.
