The visit of President Mahamadou Issoufou of Niger Republic to President Muhammadu Buhari scheduled for today has been postponed indefinitely.
The rescheduling, according to a statement by President Buhari’s spokesperson, is at the instance of Mr. Issoufou who has another domestic engagement.
Femi Adesina said a new date for the visit will be announced in due course.
In another development, no fewer than 57, 737 people were registered three days into the continuous voter registration.
The Independent National Electoral Commission also disclosed that 4, 913 voters, who were earlier registered, also collected their permanent voter cards within the period.
INEC admitted some challenges which include failure of the direct data capturing machine and the location of the centres to registrants.
But it urged eligible citizens to take advantage of this window to register and be qualified to vote in subsequent elections.
