Journalists covering the state house were today disappointed following the failure of the President Muhammadu Buhari led cabinet to hold the Federal Executive Council meeting.
Sources close to the presidency said the meeting was not listed on the president's schedule for the week.
The council which has Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, all ministers and some top presidential aides as members is chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Last week, the president was absent at the meeting, which was chaired by Osinbajo.
The Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed attributed Buhari's absence at last week meeting to the president's attendance to some salient national issues.
