    REactions have trailed the rejection of the acting chairman of  the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Ibrahim Magu after more than two hours of screening.
     
    The lawmakers have asked the president to send a new nominee.
     
    A former Minister of Education and Co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls group, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has described the controversy surrounding the confirmation of Ibrahim Magu as a national disgrace.
     
    Dr. Ezekwesili said the Federal Government was making a mockery of the anti-corruption war, which was the foundation of its campaign.
     
    While, Human Rights lawyer,. Mike Ozekhome (SAN), says it will be morally inexplicable for President Muhammadu Buhari to nominate Mr. Magu for a third time after being rejected by the senate twice.

    The former chairman of EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu has identified inefficient leadership as the major challenge retarding the growth and development of Nigeria after 56 years of independence.
     
    He warned that the unity of the country is what every Nigerian should seek to protect always for the unborn generation to emulate.
     
    Mr. Ribadu, who delivered lecture at  the 11th convocation ceremony of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, in Anambra State on Wednesday, also stated that the nation had grappled with challenges of mutual suspicion and ethnic jingoism, which he said had deprived the people of reason, fairness and sense of justice.
