For 16 years in Nigeria, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) was in control of the Federal Government. Since the PDP lost its control the party has been struggling to find its feet as an opposition party, there seems to be a confusion to who the leader of the party is currently despite the fact that a Court of Appeal said Ali Modu Sheriff should remain the head of the party.
