The House of representatives has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct all pending re-run elections into legislative positions in Rivers and Anambra States.

The house claimed that INEC's inability to conduct re-run elections in the two states had denied the people their constitutionally guaranteed right to
    representation.

Ruling on the matter, Speaker of the house Yakubu Dogara referred the motion to house Committee on Legislative Compliance and electoral matters to ensure INEC concludes elections in Rivers and other states.

Also the House of Representatives has rejected an attempt to revisit the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act amendment passed by both chambers of the national  assembly.

This followed moves by the House Majority Leader Femi Gbajabiamila who sought for a suspension of the house rules to revisit the amendment.

Femi gbajabiamila said that the constitution prevailed over any ambiguity in any act especially as the senate was trying to harmonise the CCT Act.

Kingsley Chinda and Edward Pwajok both of the Peoples Democratic Party moved a counter point of order.

The speaker of the house yakubu dogara ruled the house leader out of order insisting that the matter be fixed on notice for everyone to be prepared and deliberate on it.
