The Director-General of NYSC, Brig-Gen. Nnamdi Okorie- Affia, on Tuesday at Tsafe orientation camp advised corps members serving in Zamfara to strictly observe the dress code in their community.
Okore-Affia made the call during his visit to the orientation camp and noted that Zamfara, being a state, which operated the Islamic legal code, Sharia, did not tolerate indecent dressing by female corps members.
He also urged the corps members to be security conscious and avoid bad company.
Okore-Affia said 'female NYSC members should realise that Zamfara operated the Sharia code and as such should dress decently and stay away from bad acts.
''The males should also be security conscious and avoid bad company,'' he said.
Okore-Affia urged the corps members to pay attention to skills acquisition programme to enable them to stand on their own after their service year.
Earlier, the state coordinator, Mrs Ruth Bakka, confirmed the death of four out of 14 corps members involved in a motor accident, near Tsafe.
It would be recalled that a Toyota Hiace bus conveying the corps members to Tsafe orientation camp collided with a Golf station wagon car near Tsafe, two weeks ago.
Bakka said that eight corps members involved in the accident were discharged from the hospital while two others were still receiving treatment.
