The Federal Roads Maintenance Agency has started the rehabilitation of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos to ease the difficulty faced by motorists.
FERMA was removing asphalt on four portions on the Obalende/Church Missionary Society bound carriageway.
The engineer in charge of the agency, Lagos East, Tayo Awodun said the agency was working on both carriageways of the bridge in a manner that would not affect the flow of traffic.
On Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja,the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria has thrown its weight behind the construction of
a second runway for the international airport.
The council wants work on the second runway to commence but is concerned about the repair works set to commence at the airport.
