Six suspected members of a human trafficking syndicate in Mali have been arrested for their alleged involvement in trafficking 41 ladies as sex slaves.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President Muhammadu Buhari on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa and the Zonal Commander NAPTIP, Southwest Lagos, Joseph Famakin who were on ground to receive the victims appealed to parents to be vigilant as trafficking exists both internally and externally.
The suspects were not allowed to speak to the media as they were said to still be under investigation.
In another development, over 80 police officers have benefited from the continuous on job training for men of Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad in Ogun State.
The training is meant to equip the officers with the modern trend of crimes and ways to combat them without violating human rights.
