The Federal Executive Council has directed the Ministry of Health to step up emergency surveillance activities in Air, land and sea borders in the light of the outbreak of Ebola virus in the Democratic republic of Congo.

Also it said that President Muhammadu Buhari did not accede to agreements that would put the country in a disadvantaged position with regards to trade in agricultural products during his trip to the US.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Geofrey Onyeamah disclosed this on Wednesday to newsmen at State House Abuja after a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

The clarification came on a day the council approved the contracts to complete control towers in six airports at the cost of One point three six billion Naira
