    London Terror Attack

    British Prime Minister, Theresa May says the general election will take place as planned on  June 8, despite the terrorist attack in London which claimed seven lives and injured 48, near London Bridge.
     
    She condemned the attack on "i-Innocent and unarmed civilians" 
    she vowed that "violence can never be allowed to disrupt the democratic process." 
     
    Adding that political campaigns would resume in full on Monday, after most parties suspended national campaigns. 
     
    Meanwhile 12 people have been arrested after the London terror attack.
     
    The arrests in barking, East London, followed a raid at a flat belonging to one of the three attackers.

    The Prime Minister commended the police who killed the three attackers, and some civilians for their bravery.

    Meanwhile, World leaders have condemned Saturday's London terror attack.
     
    President Emmanuel Macron said France, which had four citizens injured in the attack, was more than ever at Britain's side. 
     
    Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull said his "prayers and resolute solidarity" were with the British people.
     
    He said one Australian was in hospital and another was affected by the attack. 
     
    US President Donald Trump in a tweet  assured that whatever the United States can do to help out in London and the UK will be done.

    Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, has condemned the London attack.
     
    He calls it a sickening atrocity perpetrated by a misguided and cowardly group of terrorists.
     
    Prof Osinbajo says that Nigeria stands with the government and people of the United Kingdom and that the attack reinforces the need for the global community to act with greater vigour to overcome the extremist ideologies which underpin terrorism.
