Emerging rap artists, Emeka Richard and Fatima Badi both referred to as DaCouple, said music brought them together.

The rap music duo speaking on the program ‘’Today On STV’’, said they have been doing music together before and after getting married; and are still doing music.

According to Emeka who is an Igbo man, he said he met his wife in Dubai, they started doing music together, fell in love and got married.

On the kind of music they sing, he said he wraps in the indigenous Nigerian Language; because there are more dance hall and afro pop songs and artistes than rap songs.

Emeka’s wife Fati who is a Cameroonian also said music brought them together, and they gave up their jobs and started music professionally this year.

Speaking further, Fati revealed that, when they came on the scene, they first recorded songs, started singing to build the platform, attending shows for people to know them and finally released two songs. She also said and they are still going to the studio to do other songs.

Concerning challenges, Emeka stated that, sometimes they have issues but music brings peace after all the issues or quarrel they have.

Concerning writing rap, Fati said she writes her own songs, and do not allow anyone to write for her, as she reiterated the bond they both have.
