Talented Saxophonist Biodun O Hezekiah said he has trained popular Nigerian musician, Davido.

Speaking as a guest on the programme ‘’Today On STV’’ the renowned trained process engineer turned multi-instrumentalist state that Davido came to learn from him when he was in secondary school

The experienced saxophonist whose expertise has spanned over two decades in music, said Fela has been an influence in the world of music in Nigeris, even till this moment.

The smooth jazz saxophonist and singer with a background of south western Nigeria folk’s song repertoire rooted and often times expressed with a blend of gospel songs revealed that his genres of music is not just one type, emphasizing that he listens to all sounds and  does not like to be caged and does not have a particular style.

The versatile saxophonist said, on for what he does, he said when he was in secondary school, he started learning drums, and because he enjoyed playing drums, he worked on th instruments he played.

 

Concerning the feat he and achievement in the industry, he said has led various church bands from churches among which are Triumphant Baptist Church, Akowonjo Lagos, Living Faith Church(Niger State Regional Headquarters), aka Winners’ Chapel of Bishop David Oyedepo, Word Assembly, Victoria Island Lagos, and Redeemed Christian Church of God (Throne of Grace Parish, Lagos Island, Lagos).

Biodun has performed alongside the gospel artiste

such as Panam Percy Paul, Pastor Kunle Ajayi, Pastor Victor Yos. He also ministered during a National Leadership Summit organized by Bishop david Oyedepo in 2001

He has also performed in an array of Social occasions and bands. Prominent among such are: Iroko Band of Dr. Ola Balogun as Tenor saxophonist(Nigeria 50 years Fireworks Independent Celebration, launching of Wole Soyinka’s Memoir at the former Numetro Media Store, Silverbird Galeria, Victoria Island Lagos.
