British born black actress Lashana Lynch is reportedly going to be making power moves in the next Bond movie.
The 31-year-old British actress is set to become the next 007, a move that would make her the first Black
What will make a difference for this 31 year old British actress is that she is set to become the next 007, which will make her the first black and first female actor to star in the franchise’s 57-year run as 007.
Interestingly, while Lynch will be the new 007, she’s technically not a replacement for Bond, but instead a whole new character that takes on his code name.
Bond 25 stars Daniel Craig as the franchise’s titular character, and we’ll find him relaxing in Jamaica when he gets called back by M (Ralph Fiennes) to help save the world again.
According to a reliable source, “There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says, ‘Come in 007,’ and in walks Lashana who is Black, beautiful, and a woman,” “It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still bond but he’s been replaced as 007.”
The same source also added that when Bond meets the new 007, he tries to flirt with her but his usual tricks don’t work. “Bond, of course, is sexually attracted to the new female 007 and tries his usual seduction tricks, but is baffled when they don’t work on a brilliant, young Black woman who basically rolls her eyes at him and has no interest in jumping into his bed. Well, certainly not at the beginning,” the source added.
Another interesting tidbit? In the new film, the phrase “Bond girl,” which has previously been played by famous celebrities like Halle Berry and Eva Green, is now forbidden.
“We were all told that from now on they are to be addressed as ‘Bond women,'” the source went on to say.
Now that we know a bit about Lynch’s role in the new film, let’s get to know the actress herself.
