There are some female actors that have made a mark in their acting  career and Nigeria’s foremost film industry, Nollywood.

No ten is Jemima Osunde the young star who hails from Edo State was born into a family of five. She is a student of physiotherapy in the University of Lagos.  She made her movie debut when she featured in “Jungle Jewel”, a movie ‘produced by Ufuoma McDermott after her uncle encouraged her to try acting.

No 9 is kemi Lala Akindoju. She was born March 8, 1987. She is a native of Ondo State and started her acting career in 2005 from stage performance before venturing into feature films. She has featured in over 70 stage plays.

No 8 is Linda Ejiofor, she was born July 17, 1986. Linda is a Ngerian actress and model who hails from Abia State, Nigeria. She is known by her role in MNet’s TV series Tinsel.

No 7 is Tolulope Adesuwa Etomi Welington was born in Owerri Imo State. She broke into Nollywood when she appeared in her first feature film “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” in 2014. She also starred in the popular Nollywood movie comedy the Wedding Party” and sequel of the movie titled “The Wedding party 2’’.

No 6 is Toyin Abraham. She was born on September 5, 1984 in a town known as Auchi in Edo state. She spent her early life in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state, in south western Nigeria. She started acting in 2003, and over the years, she has produced, directed and featured in several films such as Alakada Alani Baba Labake and Ebimini, to mention but a few.

No 5 is Funke Akindele. The star actress who is popularly known as Jenifa was born in 1977. She came to limelight after featuring in ppular United Nations Fund Sponsored Sitcom called “I need To Know” which ran from 1998 to 2002. Funke Akindele’s Big break came in 2009 from the movie titled ‘Jenifa’.

No 4 is Zainab Balogun. She is an actress, model and TV presenter who produces and host life shows for Ebony Life TV, an entertainment television network.

No 3 is Genevive Nnaji. she was born on the May 3, 1979. She is the third of eight children in her family. Her acting career began when she was eight years old in the polpular soap Opera ‘’Ripples”. She also featured in many commercials especially the Pronto Beverage and Omo detergent. She has won so many awards.

No 2 is Patience Ozokwor. She was born March 25 1958 in the village known as Amaobo Ngwo in Enugu State. She is popularly known as “mama G’’ and always act the role of an antagonist. sShe began her acting career when she was told to do a soap Opera titled someone cares.

No 1 is Shola Shobowale. She is popularly known as Toyin Tomato. She is an actor, scriptwriter, producer, and director. She was born on 26 December 1965.
