Initially, there was a feeling that big companies, corporate houses and recognized institutions are responsible for catering for the less privileged mostly through CSR.

Today, it has gone beyond Corporate Social Responsibility as the idea of notable personalities giving back to society is gradually becoming a tradition and a way of life amongst celebrities.

Renowned Nigerian Afro-high life singer Chinedu Okolie, well known as Falvour, has teamed up with a non governmental organization called TIS Foundation to cater for internally displaced Nigerians.

Sharing his view with Silverbird Television Entertainment news during the event, Flavour stated that what he does is to help and support the less privilege, stressing that he is happy working with the foundation.

In his words he said, he shares the same ideology with them, as helping and supporting people, is what he does, emphasizing that some of them are made public, while others are not.

The President of the foundation, Ogay Irono during the news conference said, when there is a passion to help someone feed, something gets the individual up early to try and do something better.

Speaking on the collaborative effort with Flavour, Ogay stated that Nigeria is a society that loves their musicians, actors, and actress, so it is an area they are looking to get Flavour’s insight and expertise, on how they can mentor young people and train them to go into the entertainment industry.

Highlighting the foundation’s plans and programs, Ogay said they have the passion to help someone feed, but the biggest challenge they have had is funding.

In the view of a Film producer, Tony Abulu he said the hope of Nigerians is in the young people since 70% of Nigeria’s population is made up of young people as they will be taught how to make movies especially in the entertainment industry.

Aside explaining why he has chosen to partner with the foundation, Flavour also said he is passionate about giving to the needy and addressing the plight of IDPS.

The foundation’s Anniversary is scheduled for 6th of June, 2019.
