The founding father of Nigerian comedy Akpobome, also known as Alibaba, has charged Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu to support the Nigerian entertainment industry when elected.
He stated this while speaking as an invited guest on 30 Nov. 2018, during a closed door meeting organised by some people known as ‘’Sanwo- Olu 4 Lagos Support Group’’ at Colonades Hotel Ikoyi.
The ‘’BOS 4 Lagos Support Group’’ is made up of a group of people who are in support of the winner of the APC gubernatorial primary in Lagos State; Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and have worked with him when he was the Managing Director/CEO of Lagos State Property Development Commission (LSPDC).
Stating further, the Nigerian stand-up comedian and actor said, after the civil service, the entertainment sector is the sector that can generate the highest number of employed people.
Stressing on the need for an establishment of a film village, the celebrated comedian also revealed that Lagos State should not be anything less when entertainment is being discussed.
On the idea of a film village, Alibaba urged the winner of the APC gubernatorial primary in Lagos State, to create jobs through entertainment, citing an example that a film village can employ at .least one thousand people.
Concerning the water ways, Alibaba expressed his view on how it can be used effectively to create jobs, stressing that the International Jet Ski , and boat row competition can be established, which will in turn yield revenue.
In his closing words, Alibaba concluded, affirming that the entertainment industry is in support of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu because he believes the potential Governor of Lagos State can deliver.
