Gospel artist Sam Soft has promised to support young gospel artists in Nigeria.
Speaking as a guest on the programme “Today on STV”, he said, people will always criticize gospel artists because they are doing the right thing; encouraging them to be focused and concentrate on their assignment.
He stated that his call is to empower the young talented ones, empower them and make sure that they can be useful to themselves and society.
He said when these young people work with someone that is already successful, it motivates them; emphasizing that success is in the number of people that one has affected in life.
He revealed that he has impacted a lot of people all over the world, and his platform is not just Africa but world wide; which is the reason he has come to spur the industry.
His also said his vision is to reach the young people, empower them, and teach them how to be successful; because success will encourage them.
He said he wants them to understand what “goals” and “sacrifice” means, and look at the destination not just the process.
He emphasized that he is not trying to look for fame because he is famous already, but he is there to give voice to those whose voices are not heard.
He also stated that, he started doing gospel music back then and it was not because of the love for money, but passion.
He encouraged young people generally, to be consistent in whatever they are doing because people will tend to believe in them.
In closing words he quoted a verse in the Bible from the book of Prov. 22:29, which says: “seeth thou a man diligent in his works, he shall stand before king, he shall not stand before mere men.”
