Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning, Kirsten Dunst and Colin Farrell Star in 'The Beguiled' Remake

When we discovered the first trailer for Sofia Coppola's upcoming film, The Beguiled (a remake of Don Siegel's eponymous movie, critically acclaimed in 1971), we were above all thrilled by its high profile cast.
This is a perfect project for the filmmaker, who plunges Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman and Kirsten Dunst into the universe of a ultra-strict religious boarding school in the midst of the Civil War. Their quiet world is upset when a young pupil rescues a critically wounded soldier (Colin Farrell).

To save him, they invite him in so that he can regain his strength. Seduction, jealousy, sexual tension, attempted murders and poisonings: this new trailer turns out to be much more dynamic, more intense and darker than the first glimpse we got.

The Beguiled has been officially selected for the Cannes Festival and will come out on August 23.
