After more than 10 years, 500 episodes and 720 installments, it looks like the hit anime show, Naruto Shippuden, is finally coming to an end. The newest issues of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine hints the finale could air on March 23.
For the millions of Naruto fans all over the world, who will undoubtedly feel sad about the anime’s end, we have some good news for you: on Wednesday, April 5, a new anime series, Boruto: Next Generations, will debut on TV Tokyo.

Boruto is a Naruto spin-off series that will focus on the next generation, Naruto's son and Naruto's new life as the seventh hokage of the konohagakure village. Boruto will reportedly be happier and more fun than the darker-toned Naruto.

Not just that, Naruto will also be adapted as a live-action movie, directed by Michael Gracey and adapted by Naruto (and Boruto) creator, Masashi Kishimoto. The film will focus on Naruto’s apprenticeship and will be produced by Lionsgate and Avi Arad, the man behind Ghost in the Shell as well as several X-Men and Spider-Man movies.

The end of Naruto Shippuden will mark the end of an enduring era for anime and anime fans.
