University of Ibadan Bookshop has recorded a major setback as several books, stationery and computers among others were destroyed when the roof of the building caved in due to the torrential rainfall on Sunday night.

Our man gathered that workers at the Bookshop reported to work on Monday only to find almost every section of the building flooded with many valuable books and stationery soaked in water.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka lamented the losses, describing the cost as colossal.
