The Board of Governors of the International School, University of Ibadan, Oyo State on Monday shut the school indefinitely over the use of Hijab by Muslim pupils.
The 55 year-old International School, University of Ibadan has been embroiled in crisis in the past two weeks when a group under the aegies of Muslim parents Forum stormed the school to distribute Hijab.
The Group Insisted that Hijab remains a fundamental right of muslim girls.
The Board of Governors in its meeting last week resolved that the dress code of the school be maintained.
ISI is a private school run by fees paid by the students.
The school therefore prevented hijab wearing students from entering the school.
Unrelenting the group stormed the school this morning with their supporters disrupting proceedings
However crisis erupted again when some parents again brought their wards wearing hijab today but were prevented from entering.
Both the Parents Teachers Association and School board ruled against it.
