The Federal Government will not allow any teacher without professional certificate of the Teachers' Registration Council to teach beyond 2017.
This is part of the three-year ministerial strategic plan by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu to end the era of unqualified teachers in the classrooms.
The Registrar of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria , Professor Olusegun Ajiboye says, the council will put a stop to normal registration at the end of May 2017..
However, teachers who register on or before May 31st will be exempted from the qualifying examinations.
In another development, the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed has revealed that over 14 million Nigerians are insecure and lack basic amenities of life.
