Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani has advised the Ondo State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu to drop the idea of legalising Marijuana trade for now.

The senator took to his twitter page a few hours ago, calling on the governor to partner with some northern states to grow food crops instead of cultivating Marijuana.

As he put it, “My Brother Akeredolu,Lagos Partnered with Kebbi for Rice, please partner with Niger for Beans, Kaduna for Ginger or partner with Benue for Yam;Please leave this Indian Hemp matter for now,Abeg.”

Akeredolu had called on the Federal Government to tap into the $145 billion Marijuana market, saying that the state should be allowed to go into the business for medicinal purpose.
