An estimates value of six hundred and twenty five million dollars is required to complete plant and Machineries for Ajaokuta Steel Complex.

The sole administrator for the steel complex, Ismaila Abaaka made this known on Monday at a public hearing to investigate the failure of the Country’s  foremost steel complex to commence operation since it’s inception.

Chairman of the adhoc Committee and Majority leader of the House Femi Gbajaiamila said the failure of the complex cannot match world industrialized  countries.

Forty years after, the Ajaokuta Steel Company story is a testimony of failure of successive governments to key into the realization of the labours of our heroes past. It is against this background that the House is doing all it can to investigate reasons for the failure of the steel company to come on stream.

The House through the speaker Yakubu Dogara said the Steel complex is only ninety eight percent completion and needs not not the raw cash but the political leadership.
