President Muhammadu Buhari says he is under serious pressure to establish national carrier as the country’s aviation sector faces challenges.
He said this while receiving the President of International Civil Aviation Organisation, ICAO, ICAO, Muyiwa Aliu, at the State House, Abuja, yesterday.
As Mr. President put it, I’m under tremendous pressure from many patriotic Nigerians to establish a national carrier. “I equally support a national airline for both patriotic and economic reasons.”
He posited that the country could boast of quality manpower, including pilots, engineers but lost some of them to bad management of past administrations.
He stated that the Federal Government would give its total support and commitment to the regulatory agencies in the aviation sector to make air travel safer throughout the country.
