Benzema Signs New Deal With Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad

Football Super star, Karim Benzema has signed to join Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad for three years starting next season, after leaving Real Madrid.

According to a source in the Jeddah-based club who revealed to AFP on Tuesday, the Ballon d’Or winner, “Benzema has signed a contract for his transfer to Al-Ittihad for a three-year period starting next season.”

This development occurred after the football legend left the Santiago Bernabeu after spending 14 years with the Spanish football club.

Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti had said Saturday that there was “no doubt” about Benzema’s future at Madrid, stressing that the forward had one more year left on his contract.

In response to the move, Benzema himself had said “Not everything you read on the internet is reality” after reports emerged in the week about his potential departure to Saudi Arabia, where the French forward joined Madrid in 2009 from Ligue 1 side Lyon.

On his feats at Santiago, is the current holder of the Ballon d’Or for the world’s best player, Benzema has 24 trophies with Madrid, including five Champions Leagues, four La Liga titles and three Copas del Rey.

Benzema is also behind Ronaldo with 353 goals as Real Madrid’s second top scorer of all time, while the Saudi Professional League club Al Nassr  player has 450 goals.
