Deborah Abiodun: Pittsburgh Women Sign Falconet Star

Super Falcons midfielder, Deborah Abiodun, has been signed by the University of Pittsburgh’s Women.

Sources revealed that the team made the announcement on their official Twitter handle saying, “We got a good one! We’re thrilled to welcome Deborah Ajibola Abiodun to our program!”

Abiodun, 19, was part of the Nigerian female U-20 was in the same team with the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

On their performance at the tournament, the Falconets lost in the quarter-final against the Netherlands and failed to get a medal at the tournament.

Although the team exhibited a lot of potentials and were regarded as one of the brightest teams at the tournament.

Based on individual performance, Abiodun was superb in the squad. Her confidence on the ball was also second to none, coupled with her energy and maturity.

Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum is the coach of the Pittsburgh Panthers and he extended his contract till 2027.
